Cask at Krakatoa. It pours clear golden with a medium white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, juicy, oily citrus peel, toasty grain, biscuit and grass. The taste is dry, bitter, pithy, zesty, peppery spice, grapefruit peel, straw and grass with a dry, zesty finish. Light to medium body and soft carbonation. Decent kick of hops. Nice golden ale.

On cask at the Stockbridge Tap. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - grapefruit and slightly soapy note but not in a bad way. Taste - light citrus integrated with sweet malt. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish Overall - as usual a nice balance between sweet malt and bitter hops.

Cask at Oliver Twist. Pours golden with a, for a cask ale, firm head. Smooth brew, lots of Amarillo, some red currant and wheat flour.

From cask at Helgi?s, Kirkwall. Unfortunately served in a conical pint glass. Dark golden. Filled almost to rim, but the head that there is room for is persistent. Moderate aroma of citrus and pale caramel sweetness. Similar taste. Grape fruit bitterness in medium short aftertaste. Good balance and drinkability.

Cask at The Hanging Bat. Clear amber body with a thin white head. Nice lacing. Aroma of caramel, tangerine and faint pepper. Flavour of oranges, honey and spice. Well balanced and very drinkable. Medium body with an oily texture. Light carbonation prickle. A lovely single-hopped beer from a brewery that seems to specialise in brewing well balanced, subtle, sessionable beers.
