Cask at The Moon Under Water (JDW), Watford on 19 October. Poured a cloudy light gold colour with a halo of white head. Aroma of stale malt, melon and some citrus hop. Heavy malt flavours with some grassy hop and lemon zest. Finish was wet grass, sweets and yeast. Bottom of the barrel, methinks.

Cask at the Victoria Station Spoonies - London. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a lasting, creamy white head. The nose gives lots of dried lemon and straw. Light sweet flavor with crispy pale malts, straw and lemon rind. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Pretty good condition. Sturdy bitter hay finish, low sweetness, some grass, further rindy citrus. Decent. (3.4)

Cask at Baxter’s Court, JDW - Hackney, London. Pours clear yellow-gold with a white foam head. So so stuff overall, some grapefruit, pine, herbs, melon, dirty hay, perfume. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with white bread and perfumey, floral hops. Fair. (3.3)

Waterhouse, Manchester. Golden with a head and a full fruity nose. It’s slightly zesty citric in flavour, but remaining fruity and in a healthy body.
