Bottle shared. Pours cloudy brown with a small tan head. Aroma of massive oak upfront, with earthy notes, rye, leather, soy, overripe dark fruits, light vinous notes, malt and a touch of caramel. Flavour is light moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

33cl bottle shared. Thin creamy off white head. Very hazy dark amber pour. Lots of chocolate. A little merlot. Pretty decent

From tap. Pours murky brown with no lasting head. Aroma is wineous, fruity and roasted malty. Bitter, slight metallic. Breadish and roasted malty. Slight herbal. Bitter and dry roasted into the finish.

Keg at Borefts day1 26/09/2014. Bodegraven. Shit water murky brown with a halo of white head. Aroma is sour funk, funky apricot jam. Flavour is composed of dry funk, wood, jammy apricot, dry thin finish. Palate is thin and dry. Weird dry wood mould, Not satisfying.

Draught @ 6th Borefts Beer Festival 2014, Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands. [ As Mont Saleve Fine de Merlot Rye Porter ].Murky matt medium brown amber color with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, rye, caramel, moderate hoppy, dusty. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, dusty, rye, bread, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20140926]

Borefts VI. Keg. Cloudy brown beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and a little crisp. Semi dry. Mild caramel led dark malts. Whisper of spice. Light dry finish. Okay.

Hazy brown. No head. Chocolate malt aroma. Flavour is very malty with light chocolate. Very smooth and creamy feel.

Keg at BBF 6, 26/09/14. Murky chestnut brown toilet water with a moderate light beige covering. Nose is light roast, hint of coffee grinds, spice, brown bread. Taste comprises dark fruit notes, red berry pang, caramel, light cocoa rub. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok porter but not a huge amount of depth.

Tap @ De Molen Beerfestival 2014. Pours dark muddy greyish. Incredible hideous. Dirty Yeast and nothing else. Impressed anybody would serve something like this.

Muddy brown with a small white head. Aroma of yeast, mint and oak. Sweet, yeasty flavour with chocolate and roasted notes.
