Cask Pub & Kitchen. Clear dark amber - brown beer, little pale tan head. Softish palate with mellow carbonation. Touch of smoky dark malt. Whisper of dark fruits, but the green apple is more of a shout! Touch of red berries. Overall this beer is quite flat and dry and the notable apple streak leads me to suspect this is a bit green.

Cask @ The Caley, Edinburgh [110713]
Dark brown, ruby edges, frothy off white head
Aroma - Dark fruits, some red berry fruits, very soft roast, slight spicy hop
Taste - Dark dryish fruits, soft dark caramel malts, touch of spicy hops, very soft roast, quite sweet dark malts, not sure about this tbh, bit of an odd flavour
Palate - On the thin side for the abv. Finish - bit dry, bitter soft chocolate and fruit linger
Overall - This was just ok - not a particularly good porter tbh

Cask at CPK - Pimlico, London. Pours clear red-brown with a light, creamy beige head. Ashy malts in the nose, some coffee, burnt toast. Light sweet flavor, more burnt toast, char, baking cocoa, a bit of earth and wood. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Dry roast finish, scorched earth, bitter cocoa, wet wood, coffee grounds. Fair.
