Not only does this straw-coloured Pale Ale carry genuine Lavender notes in the nose, there’s definate sweet Honey in there; lifting the whole beer with a floral, wildflower note that’s pretty arresting. There’s a hint of root ginger in there too, with a fresh, lemon-rind tinged finish.

Cask, half pint at The Old Bar, Leeds University. Lacing to the upper level of the glass. Hazy golden body. The aroma is dominated by lavender. Perfumed taste of lavender with honey sweetness beneath. Carries some interests and is possible to drink, not my kind of beer though (05.07.2015).

Bottle at Craig’s. Flowery lavender on the nose. Overpowering soapy lavender taste, interesting.

Cask @ Brewery Tap, Leeds. Hazy golden ale with a creamy head. Very floral in its nose, very much so in its taste too with hops evident but the lavender is dominant in its taste. However it is an acquired taste despite its very easy drinking texture.

Slight haze on this gold beer, tidy white head. Palate is crisp and very dry. Lots of perfumey lavender. Mellow orangey citrus underneath. Finishes very dry with some hop bitter linger and lavender perfume. I like the unapologetic boldness of the Lavender but the palate is too dry.
