Huvila E.S.B. – is a dark brown strong bitter, which is robustly hopped with Goldings hops. The aroma is fruity and warming, the taste is full and complex, with a long, hoppy and bitter after taste. A true E.S.B. with a lot of individual style. It is sold to retail clients in Finland through Alko, the Finnish monopoly retail distributor of beers with more than 4.7% Alc. It is also available on tap and in bottles in bars and restaurants across Finland. Since 2011, Huvila E.S.B. is also available in shops in Estonia through Drink Baar.

Bottle 50 cl. Amber, hazy with a large offwhite head. Nice fruity nose, where the taset is the same, light fresh and bitter ending. Was quite surprised about this one, like...

500ml bottle, thanks to Finn. Beige colour head. Near-clear, amber body. Dripping laceworks. Grainy malts to the nose together with herbal hops. Flavour of grainy malts with hints of chocolate, and dusty hops, as well. Smooth bitter ending (Tromsø, 17.12.2010).

Flaske 0,5l fra Alko/Muonio. Mørk gyldenbrun. OK luftig skum som varer en stund. Svak krydderaroma. Lite kullsyre. Frisk fruktig & maltig smak. Litt krydder. Tørr bitter ettersmak. Uklar siste kvelling. KI=5

Dark brown beer with medium and beige head. Aroma is quite aromatic, fruitfull, some syrup and hint of redcurrants. Flavour is biscuit like malty, slightly woody, medium bitterness and overally taste is quite dry. Nice to drink, but slightly too light body. Succesfull, balanced and enjoyable beer.

50cl bottle. Poured dark amber color with a small white head. Aroma is fruity hoppy. Flavor is malt and fruit, with a hoppy bite. Finish is bitter and malty. Really nice ESB, more bitter than ESB:s usually are that I have tried IMO.

Draught? at HBF. Poured a dark golden-amber body. The nose is according to my notes ice cream? and fruity hopiness and it was nice, the taste being more of the same with interesting interplay between hops and malt and I really liked it.

Pours deep copper into a shaker. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes leaving sheet lacing to skim surface. Citrusy orange and grapefruit aromas. Soft with upfront caramel turning to a fruity middle and a lasting grapefruit finish.

22nd May 2008. Sour brown beer but with a great deal of smoothness. Some subtle fruit and a well integrated hoppy bitter finish. Very very drinkable.

Bottle from Liquid Solutions. Slightly hazy copper color with a slight off-white head. Lots of fresh florality in the aroma. Medum plus body with interestingly firm carbonation. Flavor is brown paper malt (wtf is that?), and floral bitter. Finish is dry and bitter. It’s not quite England, but it’s rather close. I like it.
