Bottle shared with Veitafan. The colour is pretty black with a dark brown medium head that disappears really fast. Smokey and sweet aroma with BBQ sauce, soy sauce and smoked meat. Lots of the same in the taste along with wood, leather, coffee and some cocoa and almonds. Slick and light mouth feel, and has a light bitterness. Very carbonated. Has a nice smokey touch and is surprisingly light.

Shared with rosenbergh. Black colour with minimal and quick diminishing beige head. Aroma is roasty, smoked ham and smoke. Flavor is toasty, smoked meat. Final is light and smoky.

Bottle. Black, no head. Smoky barrel roast coffee, a bit more in the flavor. Slightly foamy mouthfeel, medium body. Dark choc and metallic coffee finish. Pleasant enough despite the harsher notes.

Thiny coarse froth passes for a head. Opaque black body. Roasty earthy chocolatey aroma with smoky charcoal notes. Dry resiny earthy smoky charcoal taste with orangey notes. Mid-bodied. Flat, lifeless mouthfeel. Dryish earthy roasty chocolatey aftertaste with smoky resiny muddy notes. It’s OK, but the flatness ruins it. Aftertaste is weak, too. (0.75l bottle at Håndverkerstuene, Oslo.)

Big bottle 750ml shared with larsga. Naked black surface to a pitch black body. Rich aroma of smoked malts and bonfire. Peaty taste with mid-sweet malts and hoppy bitterness. Rather short lived ending. Surprisingly flat in the mouth. Medium bodied. Fine match to the delicious reindeer steak at Håndverkerstuene (Oslo, 10.12.2012).

Fra flaske på Cardinal, jan-12: øl med mye røykmalt er ikke min greie, selv om jeg har prøvd utallige ganger. Denne var moderat, men allikevel ikke noe jeg vil kjøpe.

Bottle @ Danish Summer Gathering Ulfborg, 2012. Pours brown with a small creamy head. Smoke, roast, caramel and fruit. Smooth and lovely.

Bottle @ Summer Gathering, Ulfborg. Huge creamy head with excellent duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, smoke, chocolate, wood, licorice and hops.

Bottle @ FOneFan, Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering 2012. Almost black with big brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, smoke, little meat, hop, little sweet, high carbonation and a little bitter.
