Bottle from Aldi Inverurie. It pours Clear yellow - gold with a medium white head. The aroma is fresh, clean, zingy lemon, touch of orange and white bread. The taste is is crisp, clean, quite light, zingy lemon, white bread, toasty grain, white bread, biscuitstraw, soda water and some grass with dry finish. Light body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth - feel. Perhaps a touch too thin perhaps, but it is pleasant enough to drink.

500ml bottle from Aldi - Hazy yellow body, thin white head. Nose is a bit boring, some fruit there. Taste is a grainy caramel mix. Thin body, nothing outstanding.

6th Mar 2015: first beer of a Scottish tasting evening I am having by my self. 500ml bottle: BBD 30th Sep 2015. As the name suggests this is a golden coloured beer, the deep pillow head a snow white affair with plenty of carbonation bubbles rising up to meet it through the brew. The nose is pale malty with a biscuit/bread aroma: taste more fruity with mild citrus notes blending in with the maltiness. Refreshing enough, with a clean, well carbonated feel to the palate. Decent without testing your nasal or taste buds too greatly.

Bottle from Bacco Wine. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of grain, orange and straw. Flavour of biscuit and lemon. Thin body with a watery texture. Light fizz. Clean and easy drinking but very dull - tastes like a Lager.

50cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours golden with some bubbles and a small amount of lace which sticks around. The nose has honey, cornflakes and a hint of lemon. The taste has more honey and cornflakes with a lemon finish. The palate is light to medium bodied with a light texture and a reasonably clean finish. Overall, a solid example of a golden ale.
