The nickname was given to Odo, Earl of Kent and half brother of William the Conqueror, who was tried for defrauding the crown. A strong New Zealand Pale Ale. Toasted biscuit and rye malt flavours support a pine lemon hop crispness with a hint of vanilla.

Keg at the Magnet, Broadstairs, 03/07/2025.
Hazed orange topped with a lasting off white head.
Nose is melon, peach, grass, tangerine.
Taste comprises grapefruit, mineral bite, light pine nibble, orange pith, ripe melon.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spliced with balanced juicy hop bitterness.
Tidy IPA ... first keg offering I've had from Wantsum IIRC ... was impressed.

Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Golden with a small head. Mildly hoppy, it’s a fuller bodied pale ale.

Cask-conditioned on gravity at Just Ales, Wells 3/12/2016. Amber, with a small, off-white, head. A touch of floral hop, citrus fruit and sweet malts, before a dryish and boozy finish. Good.

Gravity cask@Ealing Beer Festival, London
Dark orange color, slightly hazy, small off-white head. Aroma has some fruits and pine. Medium-bodied. Flavor has also fruityness in the front, but then nice piney bitterness. Sweetish, nicely balanced (hops and malts).
