(Bottle) Dark brown colour with hints of ruby. Dense beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, red berries, caramel, treacle and sweet liquorice. Malty, roasted taste with black coffee, liquorice, burnt sugar, caramel, cacao, raisins, dark fruit and a generous coffee bitterness in the finish. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Rich and tasty, with lots of coffee and cacao. Very nice.

(Can) Pours black with loose coffee coloured head. Great complex aroma - fruity, boozy, coffee hints. Full bodied, silky creamy with fine carbonation. Taste has a backbone of burnt sugar / dark toffee bitterness with plenty of other flavours overlaid. There’s some toffee sweetness, some dried fruit at the start. There’s booze apparent towards the end. Coffee notes are pretty subdued. Very nice, but the taste is a bit aggressive for me.

Wow, smooth and chocolaty. Dark brown with medium airy beige head. Aroma is equal parts chocolate and roast grains. Taste is more so with a little smoke and wood. velvety smooth body, nice subtle bitter finish.

Black color with medium head. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Round mouthfeel, good chocolate flavor with a spicy character.
Very good.

Opaque black - brown beer with a big pale cream coloured head. Smooth palate, slightly dry. Mild fine carbonation. Malt cream with dry mocha coffee and mild vanilla and lactose. Touch of citric hop, well buried. Dry finish. It’s fine but too much dry mocha for my taste.
