On cask at the Guildford Arms. Appearance - amber with a decent head. Nose - nuts, chocolate and toffee. Taste - more nuts and toffee. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - walking the line between brown ale and bitter. Good.

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Pours a clear russet with a foamy, off-white head. Aroma holds lightly burnt sugar and toast. Nice flavor, with light sweetness and a prominent toastiness, along with herbal, leafy bitters. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild sweet finish, faint caramel, leaves and light wood. Very nice beer.

Cask, handpump at The Swan & Castle, JDW, Oxford, with Baz, Loz and Jude 30.04.11 Pours dark amber with superb clarity. This is in excellent nick to be fair. There is a little bit of toffee, and a good bitterness at the back of the mouth. Good body, tasty beer. A6 A5 T7 P4 Ov13 3.5
