0,33 l bottle. Pours hazy orange brown with big, lasting tan head. Aroma of dark fruits, prunes, toasted malts, bread, slightly spicy and yeast, some caramel, alcohol. Taste is medium sweet, toasted malt, caramel, medium bitter. Body is full, carbonation average. Finish is long, starts fruity, as fruitiness fades toasted malt, spicy bitterness kicks in and lasts for a while. A bit of alcohol warmth too.

Bottle pour from trade with Johnnnniee--thanks for the opportunity, John! It's a clear amber with tons of sparkle, finger-plus width tan head with excellent retention and nice lacing. Aroma is strong, rich earthy and caramel malt--like brown bread. Taste is strong molasses/brown bread, late dark fruit. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, the benchmark for the style with quality all around.

16 oz. can. 330 ml bottle. Thanks for sharing tfontana! Brown color, still good carbo. Aroma is raisin, prune, dates. Alcohol is mild and ends on subtle yeast and earth. Very nice sipper.

Boozy maltiness upfront, warms up nicely to caramel crushed grain.
