Cask at Cask Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico. Colour; hazy orange with slightly yellow head. Nose; floral, orange, yeasty. Taste; orange, lemon, pear drops, obvious alcohol, resin, chewy , slightly syrupy with long bitter finish. Decent enough, but the Belgians do it better.

Cask at the CASK Pub & Kitchen, London on 26th August 2010. Naturally hazy amber with a greyish film of foam that gives initial part-lacing. Yeast and copious fruits in aroma; main kick is citric with some freshmilk lacticity, and an exquisite bitterness that becomes the salient feature. Finish is very bitter indeed. Mouthfeel is textured and the beer is surprisingly easy to drink given its 8.5% ABV.
