The Two Roads interpretation of this emerging beer style naturally takes a road less traveled. Unlike other versions, ours employs an American ale yeast and no spices. The result is a soft wheat backdrop that accentuates the Pacific Northwest hop character.

355ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, yellow-ish golden colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, snow-white head. Pale malty and fruity, hoppy aroma, somehow a mixture of Belgian Wit and English Bitter, hints of gooseberry, orange, orange zest, sugar powder, slightly spicy yeasty overtones. Taste is dry hoppy, slightly fruity, notes of gooseberry, moderately sweet pale malty basis, a touch of sugar powder, cautious spicy yeasty overtones; dry hoppy finish with a herbal and grassy touch. Slightly monotonous and restricted.

Big white head. Yellow body with lots of little floaties. Spicy tropical fruit and resin aroma with strawy toffee notes. Dryish spicy fruity strawy taste with resiny notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry resiny pineapple aftertaste with fruity mealy ashy notes. It’s quite good, but probably the wheat wasn’t a very good idea. (0.355l bottle, from wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)

355ml bottle @ Kitty’s,Hki. Yellow color, hazy, thick lacing head. Hoppy nose, wheat, mild spicy notes. Flavor has wheat, citrus fruit, hops. Decent bitterness, dry, long citrusy finish. Refreshing, balanced.

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet, kind of neutral, wheat, boiled vegetables, weeds, flowers, hay, wet grain, hints of citrus. Taste is slightly sweet, wet grain, boiled vegetables, wheat, hay, weeds, flowers, cereal. Medium bitterness, slightly dry harsh mouthfeel. Meh!!

Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, moderate hoppy, citrus, grass, sweet fruit. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, citrus, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140328]
