On tap at ’t Waterhuis aan de Bierkant. Clear amber colour, white head. Aroma is quite sweet, booze, caramel, light nutty, fruity. Flavour is medium-sweet, malty, booze, caramel, fruity, bitter-sweet finish. Medium to full-bodied, soft carbonation. Nice enough for the high abv.

Pours amber into a tulip. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Sweet summer fruit aromas. Full with fruit upfront turning to dry fruity yeast in the lasting finish.

Bit cloudy amber to copper red coloured beer, very big creamy off-white head, not too stable, leaves nice lacing on the glass. Aroma: sweet alts, bit of mocha, some caramel, ripe fruits, touch of smoke. MF: light carbon, full body, pretty syrupy texture. Taste: malts, some caramel, alcohol is very noticeable, sweet candi sugar, hint of nuts. Aftertaste: caramel, citrus and hops and again lots of alcohol.

On tap at Beachwood BBQ. Pours with a clear golden-orange body with a lasting white head. Aromas are boozy with hints of orange, perfume, grapes, a noticeable sweetness and jasmine. Flavors are sweet and boozy with a ton of fruity esters. Reminds me a lot of a less fruit forward version of DFH Fort (sweet, hot, boozy and with a ton of fruit notes). A bit like cough syrup. Medium bubbles. Not at all drinkable even in small doses.

A golden ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, a smooth sweet creamy malt with light curacao notes, gin alcohol, warmth. In mouth, a smooth maderized malt with notes of maple, oily mouthfeel, light creamed corn. On tap at Sunset Grill, Jan. 16 2011.

Draft at FFF. Amber-brown, with a fruity alcohol laced aroma. Fruity tones, very drinkable for the strength. Amber malt covered up a a really nice, fruity, funky Belgian yeast. Reminiscent of Oerbier Reserva, maybe a little lighter, with less depth. A great beer I’d eagerly try again.

Draft @ Het Waterhuis, Gent. pours cloudy orange, white head. aroma, dark fruits, caramel malts, light roast and currants. flavors, lots of booze, warming palate abv, caramel and sugar, possibly some dark sugars. Profile keeps an interesting lightly roasted presence along with the caramel, finish keeps a faint bitter side of dark fruits.

On tap. Pours a hazy ruby orange with a near white head that laces a bit. Aroma has a slight note of tart fruits and citrus hops with a overlying sweet grain note. Flavor starts with a citrus hop profile, but sweet grains and alcohol grow towards the finish.

draft at JK O’Donnell’s in Ft Wayne - Pours amber with a medium sized off white head. It has a very fruity aroma with grape, malt and yeast. The flavor is sweet and fruity with notes of citrus and grape and a mild, pleasantly sour character. Very drinkable. It doesn’t seem like a really heavy beer and it’s easy to forget about that 11.5%. Like other raters, I can see why some people will consider it too sweet, but I liked it.
