cask at JDW ... copper ... creamy off white head ... soft plum nose ... bitter fruits ... light toffee malt ... little grapefruit ... decent balance.

Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. Copper coloured with a dense cream head; grapefruit aroma; sharp grapefruit flavour; the finish is clean and dry and citrusy. Very drinkable.

Cask handpull at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Biscuity bitter and rather drinkable. Some yeast character, but a very drinkable bitter I thought.

Cask-conditioned at the Savoy, Swindon 29/10/09. Chestnut with a slight, off-white head. As others have said below, an indifferent malty bitter, with some sweetness and not much else.
