Third of a cask pint at the Scottish Real Ale Festival in Edinburgh’s Corn Exchange on 7th July 2017. Really disappointed with this beer having loved everything else ( I think ) I have had from Traquair House. This was watery and weak in all aspects, nearly took it back! Scored kindly.

Cask at Cloisters. It pours clear deep amber-brown with a medium yellow-white head. The nose is toasted brown, grainy, mild caramel, earth and wood. The taste is smooth, toasted grain, brown, wood and leather with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Simple malt-driven job. OK, but probably their poorest offering.

Cask at Scottish Real Ale Festival 2014. Clear caramel body with a thin off-white head. Light lacing. Aroma of earth, heather and Hobnob biscuits. Flavour of caramel, grass and biscuit. Thin body with an oily mouthfeel. Faint carbonation prickle. Well balanced - quite plain, but very nice.

Cask at The Scottish Real Ale Festival 2014. Pours clear amber, thin off-white head. Aromas of caramel and apples, light sugar. Taste is sweet. Finishes clean enough. Bit boring to be honest.
