Bottle conditioned at 5% from Dunnottar Wines. It pours faintly hazy amber with a large off-white head. The nose is wood, leather, spice, touch of cardboard and pithy orange. The taste is earth, wood, varnish, leather, pithy citrus and grapefruit, with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Crisp, well balanced and rather drinkable. A solid bitter.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2010. Gold/orange colour, bubbly white head. Earthy. It’s a little earthy, odd flavour. Bit of acidity. OK. Oatmeal?
