Bottle on Alaska Airlines. Dark brown with small fluffy head. Rich, roasty, nutty aroma. Taste also is heavy on the roast grains, with some of the nuttiness in the back ground. Chocolate too. A pretty well rounded porter.

This is poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a one finger off white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some light speckled lacing clinging here and there around the glass.
The smell had a rich roasty coffee to sweet chocolate malt allowing a creamy sort of caramel to vanilla underneath.
The taste was mainly sweet and still had a decent roasty balance to it all.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation ran so smooth and velvety in texture.
Overall, this one really lived up to its description - spot on and I would have this again.

12 ounce bottle from the Libation Station in Johnson City, Tennessee. Pours black with a large tan head. Good head retention and decent lacing. Big roasted malt notes in the aroma with faint minty hops. Taste is roasted malts, caramel, green apple, hops. Thin bodied with a creamy mouthfeel.

Bottle at home ... black .. thin tan bubbles ... very sweet very blackcurrant malt ... bit over fizzy ... very blackcurrant ... deep malts ... little burnt ... some chocolate ... while not thin the palate isnt quite right and there definitly an oddness in the flavour.

12oz bottle pours dark darkness with amber edges and thin mocha head. It has a full aroma with mild amounts of vanilla and caramel followed by assertive burnt and roasty maltiness. The taste begins dark and roasty and slowly becomes more burnt. I get mild caramel sweetness for a moment as nutty and chocolate notes surfaces at the finish. Pretty tasty.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a medium sized dark brown head. The aroma was lightly sweet malts with a roasty undertone and just a hint of chocolate. The flavor was sweetish light roasty malts with a lightly bitter middle and a long malty finish. The mouthfeel was rather creamy.

12 oz bottle. Fine roasty, almost dry stout-like smell. Pours almost black under a frothy head. Taste is again more like a dry stout with perhaps more roast atringency than a porter needs. Some raisin and currant notes, then a light finish of toasted marshmallows. Regular hard carbonation for the bottle much much help.

Black and almost opaque in the pour. Rootbeer licorice roasty aromas, very attractive to the nose yet not overly in your face. Rather clean. No head, just a short mini skirt around the inside edge of the glass. Initial flavor is very nice! A unique back woods experience. Mild burned and charred wood impact on the tongue, but it is not oppressive. It is rather well controlled and friendly to an extent. When you pour it, it appears thick but it is not that way on the palate. The carbonaton is quite nice, creamy forte that nearly tingles the tongue, yowzer. Tho there is a burned sensation during the session, the finish on this is easy to take considering the mild to medium bitterness that deposits itself on the back of the tongue.

Peculiar aroma of butt, vanilla, and currants. Yes, that kind of butt. Black color, with a medium brown head. Moderately strong charred oak and dark chocolate flavor with sour currants at mid palate. NIce lasting grassy hop finish with a reappearance of chocolate. Smooth transitions. I would love to have rated it higher, but the bouquet was vile.
