A Gold medal winner in the international brewing industry awards 2000, and a three times bronze medal winner at the Great British Beer Festival in the Best Mild category, this is a smooth, full flavoured, truly dark mild with a rich creamy head.
It has a full body and distinctive roasted malt taste, balanced by its fresh hop character.
Complex flavours and aromas are achieved by blending deeply roasted malt and adding a selected blend of English hops

Black Color, Creamy Head with Long Retention, Good Lacing. Light Chocolate, toasted, light bitter, creamy malt finish. My guess that 3.2% ABV means Mild Ale classification, otherwise Iโd put it in Stout style since it resembles Guinness or Murphyโs. Good.

Slabienkie puszkowe piwo. Z mleczna piana jak na czarnym guinnessie. Barwa podobna, bardzo czarne ale z niewielkim przejasnieniem brazu. Piwo bez gazu, szybko sie utlenia. Wodniste i malo wyraziste.

Can courtesy of Deanso. Poured dark mahogany with a thin round tan head. The aroma is dry and dusty. The flavour is roasted malt with dark chocolate. A tasty mild. Iโd like to try this on tap.

Black, creamy white head. Subdued aroma. Flavour of some dark malts, soft chocolate and coffee. OK for the low abv.

Dark ale, no head with some redeeming aroma and taste which disappears all too quickly when drank. Aroma is mild roast.

Dark colour with a creamy tan head. Mild roasted aroma. Also a very mild flavour and a bit flat. Roasted malt, chocolate and espresso notes. Mild but yet tasty and easy drinkable. A bit light texture.

440 ml can into imperial pint glass, best before 8/23/2012. Pours crystal clear very dark brown color with a small light tan head with decent retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Slight spotty lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of caramel, molasses, toffee, biscuit, toast, milk chocolate, nuttiness, earth, and light herbal hops. Very nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and decent strength. Taste of caramel, toffee, molasses, toast, chocolate, biscuit, nuttiness, earth, light raisin, and herbal spiciness. Very light herbal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of chocolate, caramel, toffee, toast, molasses, earth and herbal on the finish for a short bit. Some decent flavor balance with a fair amount of flavor overall. No cloying flavors at all. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied; with a fairly creamy and slightly slick mouthfeel that is good. No alcohol noticed other than a minimal warming after the finish. Very smooth and easy to drink as expected. Overall this is a nice mild. Nice fairly robust flavors; and very smooth to drink. I hope to find more milds in the future, there really arenโt too many available in the states.
