Filou is a strong blonde beer that is re-fermented in the bottle. Filou is brewed with Belgian and Czech aromatic hops. Therefore this blonde beer offers mild fruitiness and subtle hop bitterness. The result is a strong blonde beer that can be quite naughty, but always without bad intentions. A friendly beer for everyone!

Clear golden colour, large though not too dense and stable head; aroma of yeasty-floral-grainy notes; taste of a typical belgian strong ale; correct

Very good, dense, just off-white head over well carbonated yellow-golden beer. Spicy-yeasty nose with white candi sugar; faintly grassy. Dry spicy-yeasty flavour with some sweet malts/grains in the background. Faint herbal bitterness in the very finish, making up for a good balance. Mainly dry, severe palate, but certainly not empty; very light alcoholwarming. I can be very hard on vH for their would-be crafts, but this is really a good tripel.

Helder donkergeel bier met veel schuim. Smaak is hoppig bitter en zoet fruitig, vanille en heel lichte honing. Gewoon goed maar geen bijzonderheid. Volgens etiket is dit een Belgian Ale.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg Clear golden with a white head. Grainy aroma with some yeast. Taste is sweet and somewhat boozy. More an imperial lager, or cheap Duvel clone, than an abbey tripel. Mediocre.
