Cask handpull at The County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Gold colour with thick lasting cream off white head. Sulphur and yeast on aroma, some citrus hop. OK condition. It’s alright, but not much to it, some yeast character and faint hop on finish.

Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. Amber with a dense cream head; fruity aroma; rather thin, with a fruity and nutty malt flavour; and a dry, creamy finish with a nutty bitterness.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol 11/11/09. Golde with a tight white head. Pear drop & yeast Wadworth’s aroma. Flavour of wood, sweet malts and citrus, with an odd dry, herbal finish. Not for me.
