Here in Colorado we are blessed with abundant natural beauty.
Smokejumpers are those fearless wildland firefighters who specialize in parachuting into the wilderness so that we can continue to enjoy it. Smokejumper Imperial Porter is a tribute to them - a twenty-one degree plato porter made with barley malt hand- smoked by our brewers. Roasty brown in color, the long lingering smokiness wraps around flavors of molasses, toasted malt and an earthy hoppiness. Here’s to smoke in your glass, not in the woods. Smokejumper is the official beer of The National Smokejumper Association.

Black color, with a huge rocky head, brownish. There is an initial aroma of smoke and dark malts, followed by light phenol and liquorice. Good body strength and structure, with an excellent chocolate flavor nicely corrected by a delicate smoke touch; it has a fair sweetness level that balances the dark flavors; in the end there is a hint of roasted malts and liquorice, not intrusive; the bitterness is quite strong, and the alcohol produces a pleasant warmth. Very good beer.

Bottled:
Pours black with a big creamy head. A pillar of foam rose out of the bottle neck. Kippers and smoked ham on the nose. Smooth and well balanced smoked flavour. No alcohol flavour. A pleasure to drink.

Bottle. Frothy tan head that lasts atop a dark brown body. The aroma is full of smoke with roasted grain and chocolate underneath. Notes of resin and sugar. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet and moderately bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium to full body with a vevelty texture. Lively carbonation. Very good despite the smoke being a bit overpowering. Still a nice balance between sweet and bitter.

Bottle. Pours black with a brown head. Sweet smokey aroma. Rather stoutish but where a stout should become deep and complex the smokey flavour takes over.

Bottle. Look: Black. Beige head. Smell: Smoked sausage. Chocolate in the background. Taste: Nice roasted flavors, coffee, dark chocolate etc. For me the smokeiness is disturbing. I think it only makes this brew worse.

Bottle from Liquor Max. Pours dark black with a rocky tan head. Aroma is smoke - like a smoked cheese. Full bodied with cramy carbonation. Flavor is smoked malt - heavily smoked. The smoke burns in the mouth. It’s not entirely dry. The flavor is smooth dark burnt malt with coffee and chocolate. Finishes magnificently.

Pours deep black into an English pint. Mocha head with excellent retention leaves spider lacing as it slowly recedes. Bacon and smoke aromas. Smooth with smoked bacon and malts. Sweet, lasting alcohol finish.
