Here in Colorado we are blessed with abundant natural beauty.
Smokejumpers are those fearless wildland firefighters who specialize in parachuting into the wilderness so that we can continue to enjoy it. Smokejumper Imperial Porter is a tribute to them - a twenty-one degree plato porter made with barley malt hand- smoked by our brewers. Roasty brown in color, the long lingering smokiness wraps around flavors of molasses, toasted malt and an earthy hoppiness. Here’s to smoke in your glass, not in the woods. Smokejumper is the official beer of The National Smokejumper Association.

Bomber bottle. I was shocked to see that this was retired. Blackish pour. Medium tan head. Aroma of campfire on a warm summer night. Flavor of smoked oak and some dark fruits. Palate is full and viscous. Carbonation is soft. Goodbye old friend. Edit note-- that this flagship brew is terminated raises many questions about the management and leadership at Left Hand. I hope they bring it back some day.

Bottle. A- Mild smoke, cola. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, light brown head. T- Smoke, cola, cocoa, molasses, roasty, mild bitterness. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, roasty finish. O- This is almost as much Imperial Stout as it is Smoked beer. The smoke is very much there but not overwhelming. Really balanced and no umami sort of flavors.Paired very well with some potato bologna. This bottle had about 2 years of age on it.

22oz Bottle on the RBSG bus tour. Dark brown, opaque, small tan head. Smokey, ashy aroma. Taste reflects the smoked malts, campfire, ashtray, tobacco. Dry finish with small bitter bite

Sampled on draft this beer poured a very dark brown color - almost black - with orange highlights and a medium sized foamy tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was bacon and toasty malts. The flavor was sweetish, toasty and woody with notes of bacon and bread crust. Long finish. Medium body. Solid.

Tap at Sedona. Pours black. Definite smoke in the nose, along with coffee. Flavor is smoke, ash, coffee, light chocolate. Bitter. For some reason I don't care for the initial taste up front, but thoroughly enjoy the back end. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
