Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

(Bottle) Reddish amber colour with brief, foamy, tan head. Malty nose with notes of caramel, crisp-bread, toffee, nuts, dried fruit and orange peel. Malty taste with caramel, treacle-toffee, dark bread, dried fruit, nuts, orange peel and a mild dusty bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with slight sweetness. Fairly bland, but decently drinkable. Enjoyable.

Draft at Shorty's Perfectly clear light amber in color without much of a head on it by the time it got to the table. Malty bready pilsner with hints of earth spice and fruit. Not bad with refried beans.

Not terrible, offering up a decent amount of flavor for a Mexican Vienna lager (always seems a little weird writing that). Caramel, dough, and toasted grain are set against mild lemon and corn notes, with a biscuity finish dusted with floral bitterness. Considering the other draft choices at the local Mexican restaurant, I guess Dos Equis Amber wins by default.

Clear, orange-golden colored, medium off white head. Malty, some toasted notes, caramel, light herbal bitterness, dryish finish. Medium to light bodied, soft carbonation, bit oily.

Apparently never rated prior. Amber pour. Tastes and smells of cardboard and grains and corn. Watery. Pale malt.
