The Bush Prestige is a Bush Caractère that, rather than maturing in stainless steel tanks, has spent six months finishing in oak barrels. During the bottling process, small amounts of sugar and yeast are added to the beer so it re-ferments in the bottle during its stay in the brewery’s warm room. This develops the natural yeast cloud and gives the beer its exceptionally high alcohol volume of 13%. Reviving the traditional use of oak barrels has introduced aromas and tannins that haven’t been experienced in beer for many years. Even the most demanding beer lover will be bowled over by these qualities. Think of the aromas of whisky and other spirits matured on oak coupled with an extraordinarily rounded character. The Bush Prestige is an exceptional beer thanks to its rounded taste, its rich aromas, the exclusive bottle and the limited distribution.

Rating #12,000. Murky brown with a medium sized foamy beige head. Malty and sweet with vague golden fruit, oak and toffee that turns to raisin and fig. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Tasty enough but still a disappointment from what I was hoping.

Aroma like Cognac XO. Thick and malty. Cognac XO again in the flavor. Very soft and smooth and also very alcoholic. Vinous. More than a touch of wood. Grapes. Age this for 10 years (maybe I will in spite of the rediculous price) and you have something incredable. Thanks Ceasar, for sharing this world class beer.

Bottle, 2016. Color: Amber, off-white head. Aroma: Malt, caramel, yellow fruit. Taste: Medium sweet. Subtle notes of caramel, yeast, white sugar, candy sugar and sweet yellow fruit. Hints of almonds and boozy hints. Moderate bitterness. Finishing with pretty strong oak and tannins flavours. Smooth, almost creamy and dry mouthfeel. Over medium body, just beiow average carbonation.
