0.75 l bottle from 'Prik & Tik Baelus', bottled in August 2015, cellared for three-and-a-half years. Deep ruby with a thin, frothy, almost stable, pinkish white head. Slightly sweetish, sourish, rather fruity and a little funky aroma of cherry, elderberry, some wood, a touch of bitter almond and traces of horse blanket. Minimally sweet, quite sour, rather fruity and slightly funky taste of cherry, elderberry, oak, some bitter almond and a touch of vinegar, followed by a medium long, fairly tart, rather woody-dry and slightly funky finish. Thin to medium body, quite astringent and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Pleasant Kriek, not as acidic as their Framboise and with more carbonation than expected.

De Cam maybe does my favorite krieks. Unbelievably intense, buckets of tart cherries, juicy fruit but also funky lambic. Just a tiny hint of sulfur, lots of farmyard, some good and strong sourness. Low carbonation, very dry. Lovely stuff.

Taster showing deep red with sparse pink foam. The nose shows moderately intense notes of brett and light cherries. The palate is well carbonated and medium bodied. Moderately tart with clean strong notes of cherries, moderately intense brett and light notes of steel tank.

2009 Bottle from Ohtsuki. Dark red purple colour. Small pink bubbly head which disappears pretty quickly with a fizzing aroma, Looking forward to pouring the next glass and hearing that again. Aroma is lovely, nice cherries, perfume like, lots of fruit, leathery maybe, and a bit of wood. Taste is great, lots of cherry fruitiness, initially sharp and sour, but the fruitiness soon overtakes. Finish is long and lingering and seems to switch between fruit and sourness. Seems quite oily in the mouth and the carbonation burns off very quickly. Very dry. Really interesting. Really nice.

Bottle (10-05). Rating #3333. Ruby red color, cloudy. Abundant aroma of cherries, cherry pits and oak. Sour flavor compensated by rest sweetness of fresh cherries. Vanilla and oak. Dry out effect in the short aftertaste. Very fruity, but also with complexity. A really lovely young kriek. @ RBESG Grand Tasting 2009: 2005 version. Has aged perfectly. Jammy with cherry pits and almond. Absolutely delicious.
