750ml bottle pours out pink red topped with a fizzy head. Nose is big cherries on the front some farmhouse funk and a tart note. Taste is more of the nice crisp cherries upfront with a great funky sour.

(750ml 2016 bottle from boxbeers.dk) Pours clear deep ruby with a few stray bubbles from aeration, essentially completely flat. Aroma is fairly rich and fruity with lots of sour cherry flesh, skin, quite heavy almond/marzipan cherry pit notes, ample wood, dusty attic, slightly musty funk, a little acidic tang. Flavour is above moderately sour, some biting sour cherry juice and very tart red berries mix with a little citrus, vinous character of red wine shifting towards vinegar, a light balancing jamminess, rather ample tannic wood, soft cherry pit, hay, fairly minimal Brett funk. Finish is moderately long, rather tart, vinous, cherry, tannins from wood and cherry skin. Medium bodied, slick, completely flat. Beautiful aroma and quite nice flavour, not as sharply acidic as Hanssens but still definitely one of the more acidic krieks out there. For me that limits drinkability a little, as my personal preference is for somewhat less acid and more Brett.

2015 bottle, I believe? shared by AdamC on 12/31/17, thanks!
Clear, bright, deep, red cherry with a small, pinkish-beige head atop showing moderate retention to-style.
Bright yet with deep funk in the background and good sourness hinted at via strong lactic and moderate Brett notes. Light wood/oak and a bit of soft cereal gently balance with both excellent fruit attenuation and integration. Black pepper, pit and plentiful malic acid keep things vibrant and no alcohol, flaw or unwanted notes emerge. More cereal and light honey-like malt notes emerge with warming.
In the mouth it's soft with wheat and barrel tannin contributing mainly to this. Tight carbonation propels a plethora of well-attenuated cherry notes that complement both fruity, funky Brett and moderately sour lactic and light acetic acid. Sort of a mix of the more austere, heavily sour, moderately acetic but still highly flavorful and robust Hanssens with the more funky, Brett-driven, soft and elegant Drie Fonteinen. And of course, unique in its own right and as with all of the other De Cams I've had, incredibly delicious.

Thank you Adam for the 750 ml bottle share. Deep, deep ruby color. Aroma shows me cherries, oak, dusty basement, and funk. Taste is sour cherries, raspberries, tart cranberry, funky wood and deep lingering oaky cherry.

Side Note: this was my 8,000 overall rating. Thanks for saving the day Adam!
