Bottle shared by Countbeer. Thanks! Opaque pitch black color with a medium sized dark brown head that lasts for a short while. Aroma is malts, dark malts, chocolate. Taste malts, chocolate, cocoa, dark malts and soft roast. Medium body, silky texture, average carbonation. Nice chocolate stout.

Bottle, 12C. Black with a brown head that’s soon less than a coat but lasts at the rim. Powerful aroma with heavy roast, dark chocolate, rum, blackcurrants, licorice, ash. Silky mouthfeel, lowish carbonation. Lots of bittersweet but not particularly thrilling chocolate and certainly sweeter than normal Wild Thing. Doesn’t bury the roast and berries, but they’re strong supporting players rather than leads. Strong (mostly roasted) bitterness with floral, tropical fruit and spicy notes tidies things up nicely at the end. Bit salty there too. Happily - and I guess predictably - the in your face base beer wins in the end. Good.
