A timeless classic. We have been brewing Ottakringer Helles ever since the brewery was established. It has been in a constant state of change and has developed its taste with time: The best hops and malt, and mild spring water from our in-house brewery well provide an even balance between a light malt aroma with fruity notes and pleasant bitterness. The straw colour and fresh yeast aroma are trademarks of this beer.

Couple of pints while in Vienna, pours a clear gold with some creamy, thin, white head. Nice nose, very classic, sweet, honey, grass, straw, white bread. Flavor is the same, bready, grassy, light lemon. Crisp finish.

Can at Deansos Den Haag April RB tasting. Poured a clear yellow with no head and no life. It’s a little malty, but the palate is weak and watery. Not the worst I’ve had but a LONG way from the best.

Can shared from Vaiz. Pours clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of light malt, light hops and metal. Flavour is light sweet and bitter. Light bodied with soft carbonation.

Sampled from can thanks to Vaiz. Clear golden color, small white head. Smell and taste malts, grainy, lightly bitter. Could be worse. Low to medium body and carbonation.

330ml can outdoor at Café Residenz Schönbrunn. Golden body. Diminishing, loose white head. Distant smell of grainy malts. Sweet and dry hops in flavour, notes of lemon and pale malts. Modest tart and sweet ending. Soft carbonated. Partially thirst quenching on a hot summer day in Wien, 27.07.2012.

Golden color, low foamy head. Aroma is malty with some grassy hop notes. Grainy flavor, some bitter hops in the end.

500ml Bottle (Thanks Sanjit and Julia) - Golden with a small white head. Grain, lemon and malt feature in the aroma. Malty and moderately bitter taste with notes of corn and a hint of sweetness in the finish.
