Imperial/Double Black IPA. An uncivilized amount of american hop spicyness along with a chocolaty mix of dark roasted flavors.

Bottled 650ml. -from Za Popen’t Pivoteka, Ljubljana. Pitch black, medium sized brown head, hoppy nose. Roasted malt, caramel, heavy hoppy and light alcoholic with notes of chocolate and licorice. Quite pleasant and nice but a bit too sweet.

Shared with fiulijn @ El Pedal. Black colour with an off-white head with an average duration and lacing. Aroma is toasty, slightly sweet with wooden notes and raisins. Flavor is creamy, slightly bittery with coffee notes, chocolate and buttery. Slightly bittery in the final with an average duration.

Bottle, 22oz. It pours a dark brown body, almost clear, and topped by a dense, finger-thick beige head. Roasted nose with pine cones, some licorice and a lightly spiced, peppery touch. The flavor has a nice bitterness and the same spices touch found in the aroma, as well as roasted malts as a backdrop for the piney, bitter hoppyness. Full body with some warmth. Some roasted malts, but mostly bitterness in the end. A nice one indeed, tasteful and sort of easy drinkable. 121005

A black beer with a weak and light brown head. Aroma of roastiness, coffee, fruits and some pine. Taste of liquirice, some pine needles, roastiness and coffee, nice bitterness. Medium bodied, low carbonation, slippery and nice to drink. Not very fresh bottle. Balanced, liquirice Black IPA, enjoyable.

Opaque black beer, good sized pale tan head. Piney hop nose. Smooth palate, slightly viscous. Nice fine carbonation. Smooth but pretty skunky hops, fair bit of pine too. Smooth mild dark malt, a little cream. No roast or bitterness. Finishes smooth and piney. Nice sumptuous Black IPA - just a bit much with the skunk.
