In your hands, you are holding yet another hop monster of a beer brewed in San Diego County. Yes, we know this is hardly original. But, we love hops as much as you do so let's party! This beer oozes hop oils, aromas and flavors. We hope it's a worthy addition to the riche that is the Port Brewing family of beers. We look forward to this annual release each May and hope you will too.

22oz bottle of 10 Year Anniversary Ale (11% this year) into a Corsendonk badged tulip (twice) on 3rd June 2016 while on holiday in California. Golden amber in colour with a little beige head of deep foam. The breweries description is spot on, I found this hoppy, piney and with a warming alcoholic depth from the first sniff and sip. I had the whole bottle with a cheese platter and salted biscuits, sharing neither the beer or cheese plate with anyone or thing (Frankie the dog looked on hopefully). Impressed.

Candied apple and lots of guava and citrus, mango. Golden amber pour with good head and lacing. Very bitter. And very nice all around. A little more complex than the hop concepts I just had. Tap at Sovereign Savor event.

Orangish color with a white head, good lacework and medium lasting. Aroma has hoppy notes, notes of orange peel, citrus and resins. Flavor has a good bitterness, citrusy hints, bittery orange and some peachy notes. Good bitterness in the final with good duration.

An old Rate Beer tick from 2009. It's in production now and I can log old beers which I've had.

1pt 6 fl oz bottle from Mikkeller webshop. Pours a hazy orange amber colour with a white foam head leaving lacing. Nose of spicy tangerine, fruity mango, hop resin. Flavour is malt caramel, sweetish, mango, with citrus grapefruit and pine hoppy grassy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry earthy warm boozy bitter finish. Very drinkable.

650 mL bottle, 11.0%. An orange beer, a head is big and blond. Aroma is great with lots of tropical fruits, mangos, pineapples, some pine needles, also marshmellows, caramel malts in the background. Taste has caramel maltyness, fruit candies, tropical fruits and lots of pine needles. Strong bitterness is balancing the strong maltyness. The bitterness and hint of alcohol is noticed in the throat. Full bodied, not sticky. The great beer, strong maltyness and strong bitterness but balanced.

22 oz bomber. Poured a golden color with a small off-white head. Aroma was boozy caramel, toffee, touch of hops. Flavor was nicely balanced tropical fruit hops and a malty body. Pretty tasty.
