Blueberry sour ale. Dead Flag Blues is that point where Beer meets Country Wine. Galway Bay brewed this Beer/Wine hybrid with 48% by weight of blueberry & 52% by weight of malt, then fermented it with wine yeast. The result is a beautifully delicate, fruity, tart & dry beer with layered berry notes that pours an amazingly bright & fun colour. Its the perfect beer for the season.

Can shared by Erwin van Moll at Van Moll. Bright yet somewhat unclear reddish color, decent sized pinkish head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma and flavor both have lactose, blueberry fruity notes, dusty notes, lactose it seems since it's a bit yoghurty. Hmm nah, not a fan of this one.

Taste comprises lightly tangy blueberries, straw, grass, berry compote. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Simple sour ... rather a let down.
