Bottle shared by Cavemanlawyer, thanks! Murky yellow color, medium sized white head. Aroma is very funky, something a bit minerally, a lot of farmhouse and horse blanket in this one at first. After a while it gets better imo. Flavor is lightly tart, moderate acidity, yellow fruit, light unripe yellow fruit. Lovely!

750mL bottle drunk 12/1/17.
Pale-to-medium gold, small white head to ring and good clarity.
Strong lemon-lime Brett notes quickly succumb to stronger lactic acid, with a touch of light acetic and apple notes that are in turn folded in to a moderate amount of oak. Quite a good amount of wet hay, mineral and very sparse, cracker and biscuit malt underneath. No alcohol or flaw noted.
Dry, quite tart, though not sour or biting, with a strong oak presence, though it isn't heavy on the toast, thankfully. Lots of wood, earth, mineral and growing lactic acidity. Engaging, natural carbonation is appreciated, but the beer is severely dried out and quite light-bodied. Tartness, even though it's here quite moderate, threatens to grow fatiguing, due to the light body and dry, woody, cracker malt-like textures. Nevertheless, the flavors are all excellent and it's further proof that De Garde is certainly not all heavily sour beer. Just like any brewery, as the barrels go through more cycles and develop/mature, the sourness level in the beers greatly diminishes.

Magnum. Pours a cloudy orange yellow with medium white head that lasts. The aroma is funk, lemon zest, apple skin, oak. Thin body, similar flavors to nose, nice tartness, enjoyed this.

750ml bottle at Kump's during non-Belgian lambics tasting. Pours a slightly hazy blonde with a weak white head. Aroma is funky, earthy, dusty. Similar taste, dry. Not my thing.

Bottle - Lots of funk, green leafy notes and citrus peel. Clearish gold with a small white head. Lemon, perfume and lots of peel. Long lemon finish with a low amount of acidity.

750mL bottle, pours a clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma is very wild, with tons of wild yeast, barnyard funk and some leather. Flavour reveals notes of sesame, phenols, barnyard funk, wild yeast and oak. Can't shake the phenols - lots of band-aid and plastic. Pretty close to an authentic lambic, at least as far as American lambic attempts go. Carbonation is high, but fitting. Nice overall, but flawed.
