Bourbon Barrels, Rye Whiskey Barrels, Coffee Stout....who could ask for anything more?! Boot Hill Killer is a Coffee Stout aged in Both Bourbon and Rye Whiskey barrels for a minimum of six months. We then blend all the barrels to get a highly complex yet extremely drinkable barrel aged beer. The sweetness of the Bourbon barrels is augmented perfectly by the dryness of the Rye. The coffee adds that extra kick....Enjoy fresh or any time before you're 6 feet under!

Draught @ Babajan. Very tasty yet rather mild in its parts. Notes of coffee, chocolate and whiskey. Not that bitter. Creamy mouthfeel. Drinkable.

Tap @ Beer Temple, at Goose Island Migration week, with Markoijelena and Zlotta (a.o.). Black color. Dense beige head with good retention. Aroma’s: fruity, peach at first, but after a few minutes that completely disappears to make way for roast and chocolate. Retronasal light chocolate, roast, something typical, light barrel. Flavor is moderate sweet, chocolate. Meduim bodied. Needs a re-rate, as I had this next to BCBS & BCBCS....

Draft at beertemple. Black pour. Aroma of vanilla and sweet chocolate. Smooth taste of soft vanilla, bourbon, milk chocolate and subtle coffee. Mildly spiced. Good beer, especially tasty for 6% abv.

Sampled from tap at ’Beertemple’, 7.4% abv. Pitch black with a creamy, brown head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of milk chocolate, hazelnut, some coffee, vanilla and nougat. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty taste of milk chocolate, toffee, some caramel, nougat and vanilla, followed by a medium long, slightly roasty-bitter finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, flat. Superbly balanced and incredibly smooth on the palate. Really nice!

Bomber shared by Marcus. Pours dark brown with a slight beige/tan head. Aroma of rye and coffee. Near full bodied. Flavor is coffee, rye and bourbon with a chocolate note and some earthiness. Nice drink, especially considering the ABV.

On tap a O'Brien's, pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma of whiskey barrels, alcohol and light roast. Flavour brings out rye, whiskey notes, and alcohol. Quite full-bodied but extremely boozy. Decent, but too much alcoholic character.
