(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 24 July 2013) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, orange peel, apricots and hints of resin. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, apricots, orange, grapefruit, crystal malt and fresh resinous hops in a finish with a generous bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and quite well balanced. Very nice.

Nice IPA’ish golden blond ale. Fruity, bitter and a little smooth malt taste. Pleasant.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a hazy light amber with a big frothy head and lots of lacing all around the glass. The aroma is weak grassy hop, leading to a medium bitter flavour with lots of grass and nettles on the palate. A "blonde" ? It’s more like a single hop pale ale produced by one of the UK brewers. It’s lost it’s yeasty Dutch identity which is probably why my Dutch friends have marked it down, but it’s certainly picked up a British ID, for which i’ll mark it up! It’s a very drinkable summer ale.

Bottle @ home shared with my good friend Mark. Hazy dark orange color, full sized white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is grassy, fresh, lightly malty and some hops. Taste lightly malts, lightly hops, lightly bitter. Nice firm bitter aftertaste. Nice balance, medium body, medium carbonation.

Bottle @ home. Clear orange colour with a small to medium white head. Smells hoppy, fruity, fresh, grapefruit, peach. Tastes quite watery, iron, not as fruity and hoppy as i expected after smelling the beer.. Thin body, too much carbo for me. After a few sips (and with the beer warming up a bit) the nice smell is also fading away and it kinda transforms into a bit of a musty (rotting leafs) smell.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Slightly hazy golden orange colour, white head. Aroma of rubber, plastic, light citrus hops, metal. Flavour is metallic, light rubbery, blood, grainy and light hoppy bitter finish. Light-bodied. I hope for the brewers this was off.

33 cl bottle from De Bierkoning. Light amber color. Off white head, quickly receding. Aroma’s: earthy hops, a bit weird retronasal, plastic (?) and earthy bitter. Flavor is moderately bitter and grainish. Light bodied. Finishes earth bitter. Not really my favorite of these promising newcomers.
