Light golden and slightly amber coloured body with a bit of a copper glow and a thinnish, relatively fast-dying just off-white head. Aroma of bright hops with a lot of grassiness, some resin and floral notes, but more of a dry component and of course some yeast and lighter malts here in the nose. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and very herbal hop flavours come through at first that show a lot of freshness, but not much alpha acids with more of a dry and grassy note that shows some good malts, rather than a bittering, aggresive IPA. Aftertaste shows the dryness with a light malty, bready and slightly yeastie beer that has a good range and balance, but shows more of an English Pale or a subdued APA than any IPA at all. Overall, a pretty decent beer that made me pine for the hoppy, bitter beers of home, but in the land of great 'real' beers here, I'm happy to look at this, sample this and great real sours, aged beers, trappist beers and the quality beers of Holland, a few minutes after this one! I sampled this 33 cL bottle, purchased from De Bierkoning in Amsterdam, Holland, The Netherlands on 17-January-2015 for €3,05, just fifteen days after my second daughter was born, sampled on the streets of Amsterdam with my friend - Thanks Phil for the memories!

Bottle. Dark brown color. Roast, licorice and tropical fruit in the aroma. Licorice, grassy citric hops, roast, caramel and laurel in the flavor. Sweet, not unpleasant, but a bit out of balance.

Bottle. Harvest of 2016. Color: In between amber and copper, thin off-white head. Taste: Bit stale, caramel, grassy hop, malt, cane sugar. Tasting like a lager with strong notes of caramel. Just above medium body, average carbonation.
Nice and hoppy, a bit herbal. Bitter. Fairly light. Not bad.
