St-Feuillien’ Saison is what the Belgians call a beer of the terroir, a traditional farmhouse ale with all the rich savour of the fertile land of southern Belgium. Saison, a warm golden blonde ale, is a top-fermented classique. Thanks to secondary fermentation in the bottle, Saison has an unmistakable flavour full of rich nuances and a slight tang. Saison, the latest in a long line of top-quality St-Feuillien beers, is a “hoppy”, unfiltered bee that is so emblematic of the rich Belgian tradition.

330ml can pours out a hazy golden topped with a small white head. Nose is wet wheat grassy and some spice. Taste is more of the wet wheat grassy hops and yeast end.

330ml bottle from Tanakaya. Poured into a Duvel tulip. Beautiful clear dark honey color with a touch of haze and huge soapy white head that leaves a rim throughout. This beer looks gorgeous. Nose is all saison yeast with some clove, grass and white pepper. Lively carbonation with a medium to light body. Great mouthfeel with some creaminess present towards the end. Crisp and refreshingly dry. Starts off with just a hint of salt and ending with a mild sweetness. The yeast really stands out throughout. On tap at Erzbierschof Zurich. Aroma of malts and a bit of straw. Typical notes of saison, a bit sour, a bit vinegar, quite good.

Bottle shared. Hazy light orange with big white head. Peach, lots of spices with some pepper, curry, ginger bread, gagel. Quite herbal towards the finish. Taste is over medium sweet with light bitter finish. Medium bodied with full soft feeling carbonation. Nice, but a bit too sweet for me.

Golden color with white head. Hay, funk, dough, very interesting. Flowery taste, not too sweet, a bit dry. Nice and complex. Reminds me a bit of these malt pieces you get as a snack in some bars. A good Saison.

Keg at Six D Abz. It pours clear golden-amber with a thick white head. The nose is soft, doughy, farmhouse loaf, light fruitiness, spice, cereal and hay. The taste is crisp, bitter-sweet, cereal, grain, toasty, grassy bitterness, bready malts, light spice and straw with a dry finish. Medium body and high carbonation. Crisp, well-rounded and highly drinkable. A classic saison.

This was poured into a sniter.
The appearance was a nice looking glazed over hazy orange color with a half fingered white foamy head that dissipated within about a quick finger minute. Barely any lacing formed after the head dissipated.
The smell had a nice sweet earthy and bready sweet conglomeration of citrus and a slight sweet/spicy connotation of slight coriander.
The taste led to a nice sweet and slightly breadiness leading to slight sticky and somewhat dry sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionabiity about it. About a light to medium on the body.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good saison I believe I could have again.

Via can from a store in Belgium. very light golden color 2 finger creamy head. There’s a lot of spice and pepper in the nose, bitter orange peel, some sugar and dried prune. taste is similar. spice, herbal notes, dough from bread yeast and mineral water. a bit more sugar candy and peppermint. not bad.
