St-Feuillien’ Saison is what the Belgians call a beer of the terroir, a traditional farmhouse ale with all the rich savour of the fertile land of southern Belgium. Saison, a warm golden blonde ale, is a top-fermented classique. Thanks to secondary fermentation in the bottle, Saison has an unmistakable flavour full of rich nuances and a slight tang. Saison, the latest in a long line of top-quality St-Feuillien beers, is a “hoppy”, unfiltered bee that is so emblematic of the rich Belgian tradition.

330 ml bottle at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Light hazy golden orange color with off white head. Malty and yeasty aroma, caramel, banana, citrus, grass, light spice. Sweet and bitter like aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Hazy orange color, thin and white foam. Aroma: fruity, malt, pear, a little bit of apple seeds. Taste: yeast, candy, slightly citrus, malty, hoppy.

BOTTLE 33 CL. Hazy dark golden, big white head. Aroma is pretty weak, touch of malt, wild herbs and hints of spicy alcohols. The taste follows, too malty for saison, wild herbs, very light spicy bitterness. I think is not dry enough for a saison. Only... decent.

Samea, oranssinruskea olut vaahtoaa melko reilusti. Belgihiivainen ja kukkainen tuoksu. Maku kukkainen, hieman yrttisen mausteinen ja sitruksinen. Hieman makeampaa maltaisuutta taustalla. Runsashiilihappoinen ja melko kuiva. Raikas kesäinen saison.

Pours from the 11.2 oz can a slightly hazy orange with a short lasting head of foam.
Smells spicy with the usual cast of characters for the style but I’m getting notes of green apple, grass, and some pear like aromas.
Yeasty, spicy taste with some green apple and pear, quite hoppy on the grassy side.
Nice different Saison. $17 for a 4 pack could hinder a repurchase..

Can. Cloudy honey color, lots of suspended particles, and topped with a small white head. The aroma is fruity, apples, and yeast. Rather mild. The taste is floral bitters and faintly fruity sweet. Some yeast and honey. Dry lingering finish.

Nagy, tartós, fehér, szivacsos hab, kristálytiszta borostyán szín. Illata kissé savanykás, fűszeres, enyhe gyógynövényes beütéssel. Íze malátás alapon fűszeres, zöld növényes, enyhe keserű, pici savanyú. Kissé pezsgős érzet, komoly test, hosszú lecsengés. Finom, gazdag ízvilágú, kicsit kevesebb szénsavval még jobb lenne.

Flaska från Saveur Bieré. Smak och doft av humle, malt, citrus, citron, bröd, jord med toner av grön banan, koriander, örter, peppar. Fruktig, lagom sötma, torr, fina toner, bra beska.

[backlog] 09-04-16 / 750ml bottle at home, bought in Belgium. Golden colour. Farmhouse, hay notes. Well carbonated. Hoppy bitter finish. I started rating my beers with Untappd and a few basic notes. Now I want to rate them on ratebeer. So my rating sometimes lack some information. Just ignore it, it is for my personal statistics. Untappd-Rating 3.25/5
