A warm chestnut brown with red glints and a cream-beige head. The abbey yeast in combination with the rye, wheat, and roasted malts generates a complex bouquet of dark dried fruits: plums, dates, rum raisins, and a hint of hazelnut. The drink is dry and elegant and leaves behind a wine-like impression. The alcohol content of 8.5 VOL% is pleasurably integrated.

brown colour, medium sized beige-ish head; aroma of plum jam, dried sour cherry, cocoa and over-roasted rye bread; taste is a bit watery with similar notes as can be felt in the aroma with spicy alcoholic notes; not bad

Pretty decent dubbel from an island in the Baltic. Like their IPA, it has a rather unique taste that is quite refreshing. Oaky, a bit winey, Belgian overall but with its own twist. Probably my first German Dubbel.

0.33 l bottle from Grunt Shop, Kvatrić. Shared with little Dina and her family. Dark amber, small off-white head. Cocoa, dark cherry, red berries, wood, soft cardboard. Malts, molasses and honey. Cocoa and fruit dominate. Carbonation a bit high. Some vinous acidity. Some cardboard. No complexity in favour. Fruity notes persist, some dried fruit, some alcohol along with a touch of cocoa. Quite thin, dry finish.
