Brugse Zot Dubbel is a dark brown beer, inclinging towards ruby red. It is brewed with six special varieties of malt, which give the beer a rich and distrinctive aroma. One can discover the scent of honey, almonds, chocolate and even brown sugar.
By using the Czech Saaz hop from Zatec, the beer has a complex pallet of roasted malts and a distrinctive flavour. Brugse Zot Dubbel is known to leave a warm glow in the mouth with a bitter and hoppy finish leanding towards liquorice and even coffee roast.

0,33 bottle. Behind the silly label was a very pale-colored beer. Slightly lighter than a dubbel, nice light brown, with nuances. The head is yellowish-more brownish-white, medium-lasting, but nice. The aroma is caramel, a little roasted malt, but more delicate, dried fruit. Fresh aroma, maybe a little chocolate. The taste is more coffeey, earthier than some dubbels, the roasted malt dominates more. Accordingly, a slightly dry sip effect. There is substance in it! As it warms up, it becomes more flavorful, fruitier, raisinier. Carbonation is also fine. Everything is completely fine, a decent dubbel!!!

Friss illat, talán kis csoki is érződik. Ízre kávésabb, földesebb némely dubbelnél, jobban dominál a pörkölt maláta. Ennek megfelelően egy icipicit száraz kortyhatás. Van benne beltartalom! Ahogy melegszik, egyre zamatosabb, gyümölcsösebb, mazsolásabb. Szénsav is rendben. Minden teljesen renben van, egy decens dubbel!!!

Bottle, slight gusher. Deep brown with a modest beige cap. Bready aroma with stewed dark fruit & a snap of spices. I see reference to sourness in recent reviews - this (bb 4/23) is not sour but is dry and seemingly thinking about it. Seems alive, fruity as well as bready, bracken as well as spices. Dry and slightly bitter at the end. Characterful brew.

Bière bouteille bue dans une friterie à Bruges. Robe brune claire, mousse fine. Bouche maltée, équilibrée, notes de caramel et de grillé, double belge typique.
