Bottle from ABC Beers. Bit of a gush when opened but still plenty left. Pours hazy brown with a massive beige head, very lively. Aroma actually reminds me of Christmas tree, very much spruce and resinous, really get the pine needles, with caramel, spice and herbs and definitely the orange coming through. Flavour continues in the same way with a moderate sweetness and light bitterness. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A really interesting take on a Christmas beer.

Bottle sample at PINT Winterbierfestival ’12. Muddy amber colour, no head. Aroma of amber malts, light toasted, nutty, bit of herbs/spruce. Flavour is light malty, light fruity, nutty, bit of spruce, rather tasteless. Disappointing beer, perhaps not fully matured.
