Dorada clara ligeramente turbia. Escondido. Y tiene. Muy buena tripel.

The follow-up to the Cuvée De Koninck since the summer of 2010, when the future of this brewery began to be clouded. Eventually taken over by Moortgat (Heineken was one of its contenders), this seems to be continued to this day. Milky, creamy white head, light orange blonde colour, clear. Aroma of orange peel, peach, red apple, walnuts, caramel, grassy hops, vanilla, butterscotch, unsweetened yoghurt. Rather neutral and minerally onset, quickly becoming more fruity on a honeyish and caramelly malt base, slick and mellow, even a bit creamy, with light grassy hop bitterishness in the finish. One could argue about its self-proclaimed ’tripel’ status, but still this is an enjoyable beer, though I have the (subjective) impression its predecessor had more complexity and elegance.

A golden ale with a thick frothy off white head. In aroma, lightly maderized sweet malt with honey notes, faint perfumy character, so-so, oxidized? In mouth, lightly cloying, sweet honey malt, alcohol warmth, faint curacao.. Did this suffer during shipping. Bottle from Bodega de chema.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Mitra, Tiel. Golden with a white haed. Yeasty fruity smell. The taste is sweet and fruity but the aftertaste is rather non-existent. It begins promising but then just evaporates into nothing.

Tap at Lemmys, Leiden. Poured a light straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is very weak yeast. The flavour is medium bitter with a big yeasty slight malt alcoholic liqourice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Dark orange and slightly hazy. Nose is malty-sweet. The beer itself starts quite smooth. Banana, light caramel, lots of carbonation. The aroma of ripe yellow fruit continues in the mainpart, not too sweet, nicely balanced. Only the aftertaste is a bit warming-alcoholic, but not too much. Slightly bitter, smooth banana-caramel. Very harmonious.
