Quintessence 2016. Clear light amber. Almost no head. Sweet fruitiness, graininess, hay, light mold, quite hoppy. Light sweet, light bitter. Medium body, --- Beer merged from original tick of Agullons Setembre Especial Nadal on 21 Nov 2017 at 21:39 - Score: 7. Original review text: 3.6

Bottle sampled at Quintessence. Clear golden with barely any head. Lots of sweet fruits on the nose, light lactic, bitter herbs, biscuity malts, citrus peel, sherry. Under medium sweet and sour with light bitter finish. Medium bodied with barely any carbonation.

Pours clear, rather dark blonde. Smell is dry , bit funk. Taste is dry. Bit funk, very malty, Ina way. I also get oranges . low carbo. Nice . would expect more sourness though.

750ml bottle I picked up at La Cerveteca in Barcelona pours a lightly hazy orange with a ring of spitty white head. Nose is solid, apricot, orange, white grape, mild funk, grassy, mild sour notes, some stale tea. Flavor is weaker, mild oak, mild lemon, grass, tropical fruit. Watery finish. This is fairly close to being great. Needs a little more body and a bit more complexity. If they rebrewed the base with some unmalted wheat and barreled a little longer then they might have an absolute smash.

Bottle courtesy of Sven at The Drunk Monk. Decanted. Cloudy golden yellow color, small white head. Aroma of dusty summer fruit, vanilla, subtle vinous notes. Taste is softly sour stonefruit, vanilla, citrus. Better flavor and mouthfeel than the normal one.
