It’s so great that you like coffee. I just love that about you. Speaking of which, you’re holding an oatmeal coffee stout positively redolent with coffee aroma and flavor. It kind of tastes like a chocolate-covered espresso bean, only drier and more like beer. Nifty fact: we’re one of the only breweries in the world to roast our own coffee, which allows us to be extremely persnickety about which beans we buy and how we roast them. Taste the persnicketiness!

Draught at BierCraft Wesbrook, Vancouver
Black color with creamy brownish head. The aroma is bready, a bit ashy, fire oven. Smooth mouthfeel, yet quite dry; harmonious combination of roasted malts with some boutique coffee; it has an evident sour touch from the dark malts. Smooth final. There’s a lot going on here.
Very interesting.

Clear very dark brown colour, small foamy tan head, sizzles away quickly, light lacing. Coffee aroma, caramel, roasted malts; smooth mouuthfeel. Taste light heavy sweet and medium bitter, coffee, toffee, roasty. Lingering sweetbitter aftertaste, coffee, mocha, medium body, thin creamy texture, soft carbonation, a good smooth brew.

On tap at BierCraft UBC, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out coffee / espresso notes upfront, with a touch of roast. Flavour is along the same lines, with espresso, a touch of roast and low residual sweetness. Medium-bodied with a fairly complex flavour profile. Very nice.
