Bottle, 12oz. A clear, dark golden beer with a dense, off-white head. There’s quite a lot of malts and grass on the nose, with pine cones and some lemon peel in between. It’s full bodied and quite sweetish on the palate, with a nice carbonation. Sort of sweet flavor, with a balancing bitterness. Hop pellets, pine cones and some resins too. A faint metallic touch chimes in towards the very end. Sure a drinkable one, but I’m far from impressed. Lacking quite a lot on the hops. 140512

Kentucky Fried Charleston Trip Beer #29. Draft at my hotel. Pours a clear copper color with a thin tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of herbal, resin hops and pale, buttery malts. The taste is citrus hops, pale doughy malt. Thin-medium bodied.

12oz bottle. Filtered orange-tan. Foamy, steady off-white head. Really has little finesse, but a decent hop backbone gets it through the struggle. Mostly deep resinous pine, maybe some niceness from the Simcoe. Somehow stumbling up with my friendly rating scale I guess, this one is just tolerable enough. Hardly impressive brewing, and not one I’d seek out again, and wish I hadn’t bought a whole sixpack, but OK enough.

Hazy amber beer with a tidy off white head. Minerally crisp palate. This malt base. Reasonable hops - orange peel and marmalade and fresh orange. Touch of lagerish paper. Finishes crisp. Much better than expected.

16 oz can. Pours a massive head with a slightly hazy orange body and aromas of floral hops with a little soap and citrus. Flavor is tangy citrus, but kind of a not quite ripe persimmon bitterness to it that sticks on my teeth. There is an overloaded front of grain that hits mid palate and then gives way to an almost tart citrus presence.

If you like IPA, you need to taste this, its terribly on style. From the start its pungent hops, all the way down. Tastes like way more than 7%. I don’t care for this style because this, like its style, rototills across your taste buds and down the throat. wew. Only thing that makes this almost palatable for me is the slight amount of thankful co2. Ruined my taste buds, cannot taste another beer today.
