Bottle at Appellation Wines tasting. Hazy golden body with a faint white head. Steady carbonation. Aroma of rhubarb, green apple, salt and lemon. Flavour of green apple and lemon sherbet. Thin body with a spritzy, fizzy mouthfeel. Subtle and tasty.

Bottle thanks to Ben. Appearance - hazy yellow. No head. Nose - apple and cider vinegar. Wild yeast of course. Taste - more of the same. Palate - light bodied with a tangy texture and a long lean tangy finish. Overall - yep love this style.

0.375 l bottle from ’Firma Bier’, bottled in September 2014. Slightly hazy, pale golden yellow with a large, fluffy, relatively quickly diminishing, white head. Sourish-fruity, moderately funky aroma of lemon, pomelo, gooseberry, straw, chalk and dust. Very sour, fruity and moderately funky taste of lemon, pomelo, gooseberry, some wheat, chalk and some oak, followed by a short, rather tart, very dry and chalky finish. Thin to medium body, spritzy and effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Beautiful, well-balanced and refreshing Geuze. Remarkable not in its complexity or funkiness, but in its balance and drinkability. Lovely!

hazy golden colour, medium sized creamy slightly yellowish off-white head; aroma of barnyard, lemony, erthy notes with bread and some fruitiness and tart; sourish taste with dry white wine notes, fruitiness, bread and some ’elegant’ and ’sophisticated’ sweetness; great geuze!
