Crisp, and very slightly hazy golden coloured body with some orange and copper highlights and a dense, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of super sour grapes, yeast, flowers, berries and the amazing mouth-watering scent of a great geuze. Light-bodied; Strong grassy flavour with some sour notes and herbs noticeable, all with a light sweetness, some yeast and the great sour geuze flavour. Aftertaste is great and mouth-watering with a nice robust flavour that is not as complex and dry as other geuze, but still nice. Overall, a very nice geuze with a solid complexity and a light finish - great to sample yet another from this style and definitely well worth packing across the Atlantic! I sampled this 37,5 cL corked and caged bottle, purchased from Bier Tempel in Bruxelles, Belgium on 18-January-2015 for €4,95 sampled at home in Washington after running the USMC Marathon on 25-October-2015.

Still poured a lovely deep copper, with a good white head and moderate retention.
Light sulfur in the nose is mild compared to Cantillon standards, with much, much more lime-like brett acidity, green apples and lots of horseblanket and earthiness. Really quite nice! Little, if any oxidation present, no alcohol and no flaws.
In the mouth it’s tightly carbonated, appropriately dry and full of delicious lactic and brett acids, giving a healthy but not aggressive sourness. Quite fruity, with a touch of caramel/sherry-like oxidation. Obviously has dulled a bit with time, but still comes off very noble and deliciously quenching. Light acetic notes creep in as it warms and breathes. Really impressed! Not sure if this version was brewed by F. Boon or not....better consult Joris. Maybe not quite a 4.0 beer, but you gotta give it some credit for still tasting this good after 13 years....
