Imperial Porter with Coffee & Vanilla.
Our Victory at Sea Imperial Porter is a bold, smooth brew with just the right amount of sweetness. We infused this robust porter with whole vanilla beans and San Diego’s own Café Calabria coffee beans. The subtle roasted notes and minimal acidity of the cold brewed coffee, balances perfectly with the sweet caramel undertones of the malt, creating a winning combination for your palate.

650ml bottle from trade with RobertDale. Thank you Bob! Black color with beige brown head. Roasted malty aroma, lot of coffee, some cocoa and chocolate, light fruits. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma, espresso coffee and cocoa. Almost full oily to creamy body with soft carbonation.

Bottle, by way of trade with Saeglopur. Clear, very dark, chestnut brown. Thin, lasting, tan head. Rich, fruity chocolate. Nuts, and vanilla. This is basically a liquified, boozed up bar of Cadbury’s Fruit and Nut. Which is a very good thing. Taste is musvoado sugar sweet. Some vine fruit, woody, dryness. Hint of coffee bean bitter. Smooth, rich, way under the ABV palate. Finishes long, fruity, chocolatey bitter. Fantastic beer. Silly easy drinking. Cheers Thomas!

Keg at Brewdog, Shepherds Bush, London. A very dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium dense beige head on top. Roasty, malty, coffee, vanilla aroma. Tastes similar, roasty, malty, coffee, vanilla, some chocolate too. Rich with a slight sweetness. Gorgeous Imperial Stout from Ballast Point.

Bottle. A- Coffee, mocha, chocolate, vanilla, subtle caramel, roasty, Starbucks frappuccino. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Coffee, slightly bitter, roasty, vanilla, mocha. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, roasty bitter finish. O- WOW. This may be the best damn smelling beer ever. So aromatic. It smells like a vanilla Starbucks frappuccino. So much coffee, vanilla, and goodness. The taste is about the same. The coffee and vanilla notes are played out exceptionally. A little bitter as it warms on the palate but still great. Not much I’d do to change this one. I want another.
