On tap at It ain't much if it ain't Dutch bar in Bermondsey, London. An amber/brown coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Sweet, malty, fruity, caramel taste, aroma is quite similar. Not much complexity in this one, expected more for the price point.

Keg at 'If It Ain't Dutch'. Near clear amber beer, small cream colour head. Smooth palate, airy, decent fine carbonation on the back end. Soft malts, some creamy sweetness, a little caramel. Soft pine and dried fruits. Mild spice. Off but not unpleasant. Like an old dipa that is morphing into a barleywine.

Keg at If It Ain't Dutch, Bermondsey, 12/02/2025.
Chestnut brown with a light beige cap ... good lacing ensues.
Nose is dried fruit rinds, biscuit, straw, grains, sultanas, light booze tunes.
Taste comprises fruit cake, booze, herb, toffee, raisins, dates.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a spike of alcohol,
Okay sipper but rather 1D and lacking complexity.

Bottle from Drankenspeciaalzaak Jelle, Leeuwarden. Aroma is ripe orange, malt, caramel, sweet ripe sticky fruits, alcohol, biscuits. Flavour is sweet and sticky, boozy. Body is medium to full. Thick and sweet with lots of ripe fruits and resinous hops, unbalanced boozy, not great but decent sticky IIPA on the way to hoppy Barley Wine.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Not clearly hazy orange/amber colored brew with an pretty sweet bitter taste, hints of apricot and peach. This can be catorized as an Barley Wine. But the very fancy bottle with people from India on it, it suggest it is an D.I.P.A. So don´t expect the harsh dry bitter taste with citrus and pineforest hints. Beside that cosmetic issue, i really like this beer.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is herbal, some aloe vera, mild alcohol with some grainy tones too. Flavour is grainy, grassy, herbal, alcoholic and some slight fruity elements to it as well. Smooth to drink, although very warming. Nicely bodied.
